We read the story of Jesus on the cross constantly and know how Jesus told Mary, "This is your son." and told John, "This is your mother." But rarely do we go further. Today, we dove deep into this event and the relationship between John, Mary, and James the half-brother of Jesus.
John 19: 26-27. In these two verses we see that Jesus gave John responsibility for Mary's well-being. From that time, John would have had more dealings with Jesus' half-siblings.
